Removing Fallen Debris for your Grass

When you have a nice yard and the grass is green and healthy, you will do your best to keep it that way. That is why if you see that a branch from a tree has fallen in your yard or other lawn clutter that is hampering your grass growth, you will remove it quickly. If you don't, the grass underneath these objects will die because it is not getting any sunlight.

Even if you tend to have papers fly over in your yard from another neighbor’s yard, you will want to pick them up immediately because it will have the same affect on the grass that the branch does. Anything that covers the grass can cause a lot of damage in a short amount of time. If you leave something on your lawn for a week and go pick it up later, you will see dirt and maybe some dead grass underneath, but not much else. It won't be a pretty sight. You will also want to keep the leaves raked up because they will kill the grass. So will clippings if you have a lot of them, so make sure that you have a bag on your mower to collect them or rake them up after you cut the grass.

You don't want your grass to get too high either as this will only make it harder for you to cut as well as clean up the clippings. You will want to make sure that you water your lawn when it needs it, especially if it doesn't rain. You may also need to use some fertilizer in some spots to repair damage.
