The type of yard you have will let you know how much it is going to take to keep the yard up. Some people love to have the great big yards with sloping curves. Others are content with just a small yard.
The large yards need to be manicured just about every week, as there are several different things in that yard. Sometimes it even takes more than that. In the larger yards, people often have flower gardens, then grass and maybe even an herb or vegetable garden.
The smaller yards may only need maintenance every two weeks, as they usually just have some flowers and the grass to take care of. However, some people get pretty picky and want you there every day or at least a couple of times a week.
In either case, you need to be able to have all the equipment needed for these types of yards. If you live in a community, keep your grass mowed all the time and water at night. Your neighbors will appreciate it and so will your plants. Watering at night not only means you avoid sprinkling the people walking on the sidewalk, but it also means that the water will have less time to evaporate in the bright sun, letting more of the water reach your lawn's roots. Keeping up on your yard is not all that hard as long as you do it regularly. If you let it get behind, it can become a mess, as we all know.
