Keep Pests/Animals Out of Your Garden/Yard

The most frustrating thing that you can experience is having a beautiful vegetable garden or flower garden one day and waking up to stems that are only inches from the ground the next day. What happened? The pests or wild animals got in to the garden and wrecked everything. There are a lot of remedies for keeping these pesty critters out of your garden and they are simple, inexpensive and quite effective.

Try putting a pan in the surface of the ground and fill it with beer and three drops of vinegar to attract and eliminate slugs and snails. They will go into the beer mixture and drown.

Deer do not want to be any where they can smell the scent of a human, so take human hair clippings and place them around your garden and the deer will not go in to the garden. If you do not cut your families hair, just go the local barber and take their daily hair for your garden. Going to the barber makes it easy to change the hair every few weeks. Just turn the hair over in the ground and be ready for the new application of hair.

Raccoons can be trapped by offering them a sweet marshmallow. They will love the sweet treat. Place the marshmallow inside the trap. You can lure the raccoon to the trap by placing a small piece outside the trap.

If the neighborhood cat is a problem, try spreading orange or grapefruit peels or black pepper around your property. Cats despise the citrus smell. They also avoid coleus plants.
