Improve the Look of Your Yard by Improving One Plant

You can improve the look of one plant to make your lawn look better by planting a new bush, flowers, or a garden. You can also improve the look of one plant by improving the quality of your grass. If you have moss growing in a shady area of your lawn, you can get rid of it with a moss killer. This is fine as far as it goes, but you need to make sure the grass in that area comes back strong and green.

To help grass grow, you should remove some of the things that provide shade, which that promotes moss growth, and you can make sure it is fertilized correctly. You also need to choose the right kind of grass for that area of your lawn.

You can also improve the look of your yard by strategically planting your shrubs. Replacing scraggly bushes with new will perk up the look of any lawn. If you want to make your house look bigger you can plant bushes at the corners of your house. This will take the eye length wise across your lawn and house.

If you really want to use or change plants to improve the look of your lawn, try planting a rose garden. You can plant a six foot by eight foot one in a weekend and use different colored rose plants to make it uniquely your own. If you really enjoy roses, you can always expand the garden later. However, if roses aren't your thing, try a butterfly garden. This type could contain flowers like phlox, violets, thistle, milkweed, and different "butterfly" plants and bushes.
