Plants as a Decoration

Is there anything any more beautiful for decorating a home than plants? If you don't have a green thumb or the area for live plants, consider artificial plants for decorating. Any table can be a display area for your decorations. If you love orchids but can't seem to grow them, purchase an artificial pot of orchids and they will live forever. Without close inspection no one will know the difference.

If you are blessed with a big bay window and space for live plants you will want to research what plants are best for your space and light availability. Some of the favorite green plants are the ivies but some may like direct bright light, while others may prefer lower subdued light. If you prefer and do have the space a small tree may be the ticket for you. You must research and find out how big the tree will grow. After living its life indoors it may take a while for it to recover if you must move it out of doors.

If you are bringing plants in from the outdoors be sure they are free of insects and you can meet their water requirements. Many plants brought indoors will experience shock form dryer air and will lose their leaves. If you are buying new plants visit a nursery for your best choices and advise from the nurseryman. If all you want is to decorate the tables and maybe a few vases in your home, and you don't have time to take care of live flowers, go with the artificial ones.
